ISETAN
June 2016 marks an exciting new step for Anne Black when she presents her new limited edition products made for the world renound department store, 'Isetan' in Tokyo. Besides presenting the products for a limited period in Isetan, Anne has also made a selection of these one of a kind plates available in the Black shop in Copenhagen.
The products made for Isetan, are inspired by classic kinomo patterns from the Tokyo based kimono workshop Futaba-en. From Anne´s previous visits to Futaba-en she has made a selection of patterns and translated these through hand painting to a number of hand thrown porcelain plates.
The co-operation between Anne Black & Futuba-en is another example of Anne´s collaboration with Japanese designers and craftsmen, where she has previously also worked with minä perhonen on various projects. See more on Anne´s collaboration with minä perhonen and Akira Minagawa here.
